Runswick Bay stretches along this stretch of the Yorkshire Coast as a sweep of golden sand backed by steep cliffs. Highfields sits at the top, its rear garden facing the water across a lawned space and raised decking where you can watch the tide shift the shoreline throughout the day. The Cleveland Way runs past the property, linking a chain of coastal villages to the north and south, then climbing inland toward the North York Moors.
Inside, the house holds four bedrooms and four bathrooms, sleeping eight. The ground floor contains one double bedroom with ensuite, a living room with woodburner and patio doors opening onto the decking, a well-equipped kitchen with dining space, and a utility room. Three more bedrooms occupy the first floor, each with its own ensuite. The whole place is yours alone, with parking for two cars. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; pets stay free.
The kitchen is set up for proper cooking rather than holiday shortcuts, with electric oven, range, microwave and dishwasher. The garden at the rear has charcoal barbecue and furniture, and a ramp provides level access to the decking. No smoking throughout the property.
