Hungate Cottages - Ellerbeck sits close enough to Pickering town centre for an easy walk, but far enough back to feel secluded. The North York Moors spread across the doorstep; the Yorkshire Coast is reachable for a day trip, as is York and its minster. Dalby Forest lies within reach for walking or cycling. Locally, Pickering itself has a 12th-century castle, medieval church frescoes, museums and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which runs steam trains through moorland scenery to Grosmont. A pub sits within a mile.

The whole cottage is yours alone. Downstairs holds a living room with an open fire, dining room and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and a washer-dryer combined. The ground floor also has a separate toilet. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king bed and an ensuite with a roll-top bath and separate shower; the second bedroom has two single beds and its own ensuite. Both bathrooms are fully fitted. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included, as is fuel for the fire. Parking is on site, and a walled garden with furniture is shared access; a children's play area and bike storage are also available.

The cottage suits families and couples. No smoking is permitted indoors.
