Pilot Me Cottage began life as a fisherman's warehouse and retains that industrial heritage even after its conversion to holiday accommodation. Built into the fabric of Staithes, the village itself—with its steep cobbled streets, working harbour and clifftop views—is the real draw for visitors. The cottage sits a couple of steps above street level with an enclosed terrace looking over the water.
Inside, the ground floor has a living and dining space where the woodburner makes a focal point, a separate sitting room with a Smart TV, a shower room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs, three bedrooms split between twins and a double, plus a full bathroom and an ensuite. The accommodation sleeps six. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are provided. Parking for two cars is on site, and one well-behaved dog can stay at no extra charge; smoking is not permitted indoors.
Staithes is known for its art galleries and creative community, and the Staithes Museum explores the village's past. The Cleveland Way footpath runs nearby, connecting to Runswick Bay, Whitby and further spots along the coast. Cafés, pubs and small shops line the streets within walking distance.
