An open-plan living space combines the kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with an induction hob, microwave and fridge for self-catering. Bed linen, towels and heating are included. The hut sits on its own with private parking for two cars and a hot tub on the decking.
York is half an hour away by car, and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park lies within twenty minutes' drive. Dalby Forest, with its Go Ape treetop course, is similarly close. Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway steam trains are nearby, as is Castle Howard. The village of Malton, known for its food scene, is also accessible. A pub and restaurant sit within walking distance. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The property does not permit smoking.

Having twice stayed here I couldn't more highly recommend. Beautiful hut in remote location. Hot tub beneath a beautiful starry sky! Literally this place has everything you could want in a peaceful or romantic get away. Will be going back.

Absolutely beautiful stay. Me and David loved it here and will be back. The hut was so clean and warm on arrival. The hot tub all fired up and ready. We had a bath too and that was just beautiful. Such a cosy peaceful break. The host also brought us freshly baked croissants and jam for breakfast, such a lovely surprise. We also had fresh raw milk and orange juice to drink. Thank you so much ☺️

Absolutely loved our stay, jess was so welcoming and made sure we were taken care of, very easy to get to and a nice little walk over to the cabin which was perfectly quiet and secluded. Very clean and tidy, nice selection or breakfast and condiments left for us and then we brought our own food too cook whilst there. Can't wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay at the shepherd’s hut. The secluded field was the perfect escape and we loved the cosy wood burner hot tub and evenings by the fire toasting marshmallows and playing board games. Jess was so welcoming and even brought us fresh croissants in the mornings, with juice and milk waiting in the hut. Peaceful, relaxing and the perfect countryside getaway. We’re hopeful to return in the future for another escape.
