Sunnyside Cottage
North Yorkshire
Photo: Google Maps
Grassington is a working village with cobbled streets, independent shops and traditional pubs, sitting at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Sunnyside Cottage is a converted barn on the outskirts, giving you a quiet base with easy access to both village life and the surrounding countryside. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms—a double, another double, and a twin—with two bathrooms to share. There's a sitting room with a gas fire, a kitchen large enough for cooking proper meals, and a utility room with washing machine and freezer.
The south-facing garden has a patio and seating area where you can sit out, and there's secure storage for bikes if you're planning to ride the Dales trails. Parking on site covers three cars, with more available on the road outside. One dog can come with you free of charge. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are all included, along with fuel for the fire.
Walking and cycling routes radiate out from the village—Linton Falls is close by, as are Malham Cove and Bolton Abbey further afield. The terrain suits all abilities, from gentle riverside walks to more demanding hill routes. Grassington itself has enough independent food shops, cafes and pubs that you could easily spend a morning or afternoon there without leaving the village.
