Swallowdale Cottage

This former agricultural building has been converted into a single-storey cottage in the village of Levisham, within the North Yorkshire Moors. Two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with a double—share a bathroom with bath and shower. The layout keeps everything on one level: a utility room by the entrance, a fully fitted kitchen, and a living and dining space with a woodburner, sofas and a smart TV. An enclosed south-facing garden with seating and a barbecue sits at the front of the property.

The cottage comes with electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi included; fuel for the woodburner is also provided. Parking for two cars is on site, and there is bike storage available on request. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra cost. The property is non-smoking, and is reserved for adults only.

Levisham is a quiet village seven miles north of Pickering, with the Horseshoe Inn serving local food nearby. Walking routes start from the doorstep—the valley of Newtondale and the geological formation of Hole of Horcum are accessible from here—while Cropton Forest and Dalby Forest both lie close by for longer explorations on foot or by bike. The North York Moors National Park surrounds the village, and the Yorkshire coast, York and other market towns are within reasonable reach.
