High Dalby House & Cottages

About High Dalby House & Cottages

High Dalby House & Cottages suits couples and small groups after a proper break from noise and screens rather than a packed itinerary of sights. Set right on Dalby Forest Drive near Pickering, it works best for anyone keen to walk or cycle straight from the door into the North York Moors, then come back to somewhere calm and adults-only to unwind.

There are seven rooms in total, each with an en-suite bathroom, and the property keeps things simple but comfortable: a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast included, free WiFi, and drinks available in the room. Outside there's a garden, a picnic area and outdoor seating for taking meals or a morning coffee into the fresh air, and 24-hour reception means arrivals aren't tied to a strict schedule. Free on-site parking and pet-friendly rooms make it an easy base for those travelling with a dog or a car full of walking boots.

Dalby Forest itself is on the doorstep for cycling and walking, and horse riding is available nearby for those wanting a different pace. There are pubs and restaurants within reach for evenings out, and the house also functions as a wedding venue, so it's worth checking availability if you're after a purely quiet stay during peak season.
