Kettleness sits on the North Yorkshire cliffs, a quiet settlement where the moors roll inland and the North Sea spreads across the horizon. The Anchorage is a 200-year-old stone cottage here, dating back far enough to have kept some original character—beamed ceilings catch the eye as you move through the ground floor, and a window seat in the sitting room frames those water views while the wood burner warms the room on cooler days.
The layout spreads across three storeys. Ground level holds the kitchen (well-equipped with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge), a dining area with built-in bench seating, a sitting room three steps down, and a separate toilet. Upstairs are three bedrooms: one with a super kingsize bed, two with twin singles. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over. A second bedroom on the top floor has a snug corner with bean bags and a TV tucked under the eaves, plus a Velux window looking seaward. The property sleeps six and is yours alone—no shared areas. Parking for three cars is on site.
Three separate garden spaces give plenty of outdoor ground: a front lawn with views, a sheltered rear patio with barbecue and furniture, and an enclosed side garden bounded by dry stone walls. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered; the initial fuel for the wood burner is too. Smoking is not permitted. Bitz N Pizzas is nearby if you'd rather not cook.
