West Wood Cottage

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

West Wood Cottage opens into a unified ground-floor space where the living area, dining and kitchen flow together, anchored by a woodburner. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly—electric oven, gas hob, microwave and a washer-dryer tucked in—while upstairs holds two bedrooms: a double and a single, sharing a bathroom with a bath and shower. Everything essential is provided: heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi. There is parking for one car on site.

The cottage sits a short walk from Pickering's village pub and restaurant. From here, the North York Moors steam railway is 2½ miles away, along with quaint fishing villages at Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes, stately homes including Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall, and the Ryedale Folk Museum in Hutton-le-Hole. Scarborough and Whitby are further afield if you want the coast. The cottage accommodates couples and families with up to three guests; no smoking indoors.

WOW what a find. Thank you lesley and James for a fantastic cottage, right next door to the Buck inn it maybe next door but far from noisy. The cottage was perfectly clean and had everything you needed plus a great nights sleep. Plenty of interesting places to visit right on the doorstep, infact too many so a return visit is a must. Thank you for the wine cookies and flowers 10/10

Wow! Couldn't of asked for anything more!?! The cottage was spotless and full of quirky personal touches. We visited with our 5 year old daughter who absolutely loved her hoilday bedroom with its 'fairy' window. Plus added bonus there is a pub next door and a park a short walk away :) very quite and rural surroundings.
