Quiet, off-grid Greener Camping Club certified site in the heart of Northumberland.

About Tranwell Farm Certificated Site

Set on a working farm in the heart of Northumberland, this small Greener Camping Club certified site offers a genuinely peaceful escape just a few miles from Morpeth. With space for just five units, Tranwell Farm keeps things refreshingly simple and off-grid – there's no WiFi, so you're properly unplugged – though you'll find decent facilities including showers, toilets, and drinking water. Campfires are positively encouraged, and dogs are welcome to roam.

The rural setting means you're well-placed for exploring Northumberland's castles, coastline, and market towns, yet evenings here feel wonderfully removed from it all. Families appreciate the farm atmosphere and freedom for children to explore, though those seeking modern conveniences or electric hook-ups should look elsewhere – this is camping at its more traditional.

Beautiful campsite in nature which is also sustainable! We stayed one night and enjoyed the quiet a lot! It is a quite small campsite and you only get in with an online booking! On the website we were able to communicate with the owners which was very nice and they were very helpful and kind. There is a welcome hut which has information about the area and electricity plugins for phones and such if you need. Outside there is a drinkingwater hose. The toilet house looks brand new and spaceous and is powered by solarpanels. ☀️ There are regular grass pitches, huts and small cabins. Walking across the field with all the sheep was very nice too! Highly recommend! Thank you for having us! ♥️

Brilliant place, we stayed in Ash Lodge, beds super comfy. Nice and peaceful. And in a great location for Belsay Hall, Kirkley hall zoo, Cragside, Wallington, Seahouses etc. About 5 minutes if that from Morpeth town centre, for shopping and takeaways

We stayed at Oak Lodge and it was a wonderful break. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and perfect for a digital detox as we intended. Having a secure place for our dog was also key and he enjoyed the stay just as much as we did. Sitting by the fire and enjoying the wildlife was great. But relaxing in the hot tub under the clear sky seeing the stars was the best. Highly recommend

Just finished our stay at Tranwell Farm and had a brilliant time. The campsite is lovely, quiet and well kept. The staff are friendly and very responsive to online messages and queries. The showers have great temperature and pressure and the facilities are generally ideal. We will be back and would recommend
