Morpeth itself is a working market town with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The river runs through the centre and there are boats to hire for rowing, or you can simply walk the bank. A train station connects to Newcastle, Durham, Edinburgh and York. Families travelling with young children will find a travel cot and highchair provided. The town makes a practical base for exploring further afield: the Heritage Coast and its beaches lie 8 miles away, Hadrian's Wall is 37 miles south, and the Northumberland National Park sits inland to the north. The property is no-smoking.
