Bellshill Tower is a converted communication tower standing alone on a hilltop surrounded by 23 acres of private woodland, with Bamburgh Castle and the North Sea visible to the east and the Cheviot Hills westward. Three storeys of accommodation include a ground-floor open-plan living space with a woodburner, kitchen with electric cooking and dishwasher, and walk-in shower; first-floor bedroom with kingsize bed and bathroom with bath; second-floor bedrooms sleeping four more. The property sleeps 6 and has two bathrooms. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included, along with initial logs for the fire.
The kitchen opens via French doors to an enclosed garden with decking, seating and a BBQ. On-site parking takes three cars. One dog is welcome and must be kept on a lead in the woodland. The property has a spring water supply that is filtered and tested. No smoking is permitted indoors.
This suits anyone seeking solitude: there are no neighbours, and the location offers peace, wildlife, and space to walk. Belford and the wider Northumberland coast are nearby for those who want to venture out.

A Wonderful Stay at Bellshill Tower – A Hidden Gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most fantastic time staying at Bellshill Tower Holiday Let. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views. The property itself is beautifully maintained—spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing break. The tower has such a unique charm. Waking up each morning to stunning views of the countryside was a real highlight. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast on the decking, relaxing in the cozy living space, or exploring the local area, there’s a real sense of tranquility and escape. Sarah and Jon are incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, and It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into making guests feel special here. Bellshill Tower is perfectly located—close enough to the coast and nearby attractions and walking routes, but secluded enough for a peaceful retreat. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return visit. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway!

We have just stayed at Bellshill Tower last week. Truly a stunning place, the perfect place to get away from it all. Sarah and Jon, the owners, went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating and it was really appreciated. The location is perfect for travelling to Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, Belford, Wooler, Budle Bay, Holy Island, Alnwick and even Scotland all within a 20/30 mins drive. The Tower itself is immaculate with new kitchen, beds, shower and appliances all replaced to a very high standard very recently. It is very easy to reach just off the A1 for us, nothing but good things to say about the place. I just hope any pictures I upload do it justice! Thanks again!

What an absolute gem of find!! Bellshill Tower is located at the end of a track approx .5 miles long, this ensures that you are secluded and if you wished, wouldn't need to see a living soul for the duration of your stay. The adjacent woodlands which form part of the property are being sympathetically looked after by the owners of Bellshill, with much replanting of felled trees due to the terrible storms last year. Our Dogs really did enjoy scampering around in a safe environment. Its elevation provides views across open farmland out to the ocean, the sun rises directly in front of the property providing stunning sunrises. Many types of wildlife were observed and enjoyed from cheeky squirrels to owls, deers, multiple birds of prey and almost everything in between, I wished we had taken our trail cam for the badger sets!! The property itself is exceptionally well appointed with everything you could need. (top tip, the bench for the table doubles up well as a coffee table). The cleanliness is probably the best we have experienced for a dog friendly holiday home. Yes there are a few stains on the upstairs carpets but nothing that is too obtrusive. The bathroom is sleek and modern, all I would say is watch your bum on the heated towel rail!! its really hot, excellent for drying wet clothes on as well your towels!! We enjoyed it so much we have booked for next year, with limited availability, if there is space, book!!! Well done Sarah and Jon for continuing Bellshill Tower's journey........

Bellshill Tower - what an amazing place. We are regular visitors to this area but have never stayed here before and we will certainly be going back. A beautiful, hidden gem - tucked away in its own woodland with an abundance of animals and birds. There are sea views all around the tower and the most amazing sunrises and sunsets - a photographers dream! The Tower itself is cosy and comfortable - beautifully decorated with absolutely everything you could need. Any issues and you can contact the lovely owners who cannot do enough to help. We had the BEST week here. We cannot recommend it enough - close to all local places of interest in that part of Northumberland and close to get to the Scottish Borders too. A week away in Bellshill Tower will leave you feeling like you have been away for a month! Thank you so much
