The Mill

The Northumberland coast here sits between dramatic cliffs and quiet rural villages, with beaches and walking country within easy reach. The Mill occupies this in-between space—close enough to the shoreline to feel like a retreat, but surrounded by the kind of landscape that rewards exploration on foot or by bike.

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms spread across two floors sleep six. Downstairs, an open-plan kitchen and dining area connects to a bright living room with comfortable seating, a woodburner, and smart TV. There is also a playroom with books and games, a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and access to a garden with patio seating. Upstairs, the bedrooms offer flexibility: two have ensuite showers, one is a second double, and one is smaller. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are all included. A well-behaved dog is welcome. On-site parking fits multiple vehicles.

A pub sits roughly a mile away. Alnwick and Bamburgh castles are within reach for a day out, as are Holy Island and various walking routes through the hills. Smoking is not permitted inside.
