Wren Cottage is a stone cottage on the High Weldon estate near Morpeth, with direct access to the River Coquet for salmon and trout fishing. The whole property is yours alone, set among landscaped grounds with a patio and shared BBQ facilities. Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with TV and Freesat, a kitchen/dining room with a full oven and hob, one bedroom with zip-and-link beds that can be configured as a double or twin, and a shower room. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included.
The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with a microwave, fridge/freezer and access to a shared utility room containing a washing machine, tumble dryer and additional freezer. One dog stays free and gets treats from the welcome pack, which also includes local eggs, scones and jam. You can park one car on site. A pub and restaurant are three-quarters of a mile away; Morpeth town centre with shops and restaurants is 9 miles south, and the coast is 12 miles away. The cottage draws water from a spring, and the grounds have sloping banks. No smoking inside.

Our first visit and won’t be our last. Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Louise made us feel very welcome, our family (including dogs) loved our stay.

The pictures really don't do the cottages justice. Absolutely spotless, everything you need is there, there was a pint of milk, eggs and a scone n jam ( which were lush) We stayed in Robin cottage , it is absolutely huge ,and so peaceful, opening the curtains and seeing the wildlife , hearing birds sing Local shops are good , given there size, Louise was there to greet and show us around , lovely lady . Checkout is 10am , not 9 am as the booking site said . Really enjoyable , and will definitely return

Beautiful holiday cottages in an ideal setting. Lovely long walks in stunning countryside right on your doorstep. Louise was highly attentive and cottage was lovely and clean. A lovely quiet getaway, and great for dogs.

Owl Cottage provided us with excellent accommodation for our week exploring Northumberland. Louise welcomed us and made us feel at home, right away. We found it to be very clean and fresh. The cottage is spacious in every room, with very comfortable beds, great showers and a lovely lounge overlooking the extremely well kept garden. We wished we had a kitchen/breakfast room like the one in the Cottage! We needed for nothing and the Cottage was central for all areas of the County. A superb week - thank you Louise.
