Honeysuckle Cottage is a stone cottage on the Heritage coastal route between Alnwick and Seahouses, set among open farmland on a quiet road. The owners allow guests to explore their bridle walks across the surrounding land. It sleeps four: a double bedroom on the first floor, and upstairs a second bedroom with two single beds plus a flexible single. There's one bathroom with a bath and shower, a living room with an open fire, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and electric cooker. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are provided, along with fuel for the fire. One dog or cat can stay at no extra cost.
The coast is within easy reach—Seahouses, a working harbour with fishing trips and ferries to the Farne Islands, is 10 minutes away. Craster, famous for kippers, is nearby, and Dunstanburgh Castle a short drive further. Alnwick has its water gardens and 11th-century castle. Inland, the region offers river and lake fishing, walking through forested hills, and numerous small villages. Shops and pubs are a mile and a half away. There is parking on site, and the cottage does not permit smoking.
