Longlands - Doxford Cottages

Chathill lies on Northumberland's quieter coast, with Embleton Beach within reach and countryside that rolls inland toward the Pennines. Longlands occupies the Doxford Estate, a converted barn property with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping four. The whole place is yours alone during your stay.

Ground floor has a living and dining room centred on a wood-burning stove, with French doors onto a south-facing terrace; the kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can cook or do laundry as needed. There is a bathroom with a bath and shower. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower, while the second bedroom contains two single beds. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, along with logs for the fire.

The property has private parking for two cars and its own back garden with seating. The wider estate grounds are shared and contain a games room with table football and air hockey, plus additional sitting areas. Note that there is an unfenced lake within the grounds. The Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa is nearby if you want a meal out or spa treatment. Smoking is not permitted inside.
