Wellwood - Doxford Cottages

Embleton Beach is a short drive away, and the Northumberland coast offers miles of sand, rock pools and coastal walks. Inland, the estate grounds themselves provide immediate outdoor space with a shared children's play area and sitting areas among the trees. The cottage sits within converted farm buildings on the Doxford Estate, with its own south-facing garden and parking for two cars.

Wellwood has two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with a zip-and-link super king (convertible to two singles)—and two bathrooms. Downstairs, the living room centres on a wood burner (fuel included), opens onto the garden terrace, and has a smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided. There's a shower room on the ground floor for convenience. Guests can request a travel cot and highchair if needed. A shared games room on the estate has table football and air hockey.

This is a no-smoking property. It suits families, couples and groups of friends wanting a base for exploring the coast or simply retreating to woodland views. One thing to note: there is an unfenced lake within the estate grounds.
