Plantation Cottage stands on slightly rising ground with views across open countryside towards Rock Hall. Once a shepherd's farmhouse on the Rock estate, it has been renovated throughout and comes as a whole property to yourself. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: a kingsize with ensuite, a zip-and-link twin, and a double. There is a family bathroom on the first floor as well. Downstairs, the living room has a wood burner, and a well-equipped kitchen leads through to a separate dining room where you can take in the views while eating.
One well-behaved pet stays free. The property has an enclosed garden with seating and furniture, a bike store, and parking for three or more cars. Essentials like heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi are included. The cottage is seven miles north-east of Alnwick and roughly five miles from the beaches at Newton by the Sea and Embleton; Craster fishing village is also within reach. No smoking inside.

Lovely quiet cottage in a small little hamlet of Rock (about 10 minutes drive to Alnwick). Has everything you need for your stay. Great WiFi connection, cottage was very cosy with the log burner. There was only 3 of us staying (+2 dogs) but cottage does sleep 6 and it would be extremely hard & uncomfortable fitting 6 people in the lounge which is a little small. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable the shower water pressure was really good. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs along with the surrounding area.

We rented this property for one week in January. What a lovely place! Views from every window and a log burner in the lounge. We certainly did incredibly well when we booked this cottage.

Love the place and the property but unfortunately there were a few abnormalities I did contact the owners but half were not acknowledged. Works completed in property while we were out with no notification came back to find electrical cuttings everywhere privacy is tarnished, hoover has electrical faults as stated by a previous occupant months ago not been fixed the leads shocks you so please don't use it, beds are extremely worn and gave us back ache we had to buy a mattress topper, The last night we were woken to rats trying to eat through the pipes in the kitchen 3 seen hole in exterior drain for entry, dirty toilet brushes which I put in the bin. These people take your money but do not acknowledged anyone's holiday been ruined by the above sorry it came to me having to leave this. I have proof of all of the above photos etc what a shame this could be an amazing holiday let attention to detail is needed
