Shawdon Hill Cottage is a thoroughly equipped property sleeping six across three bedrooms and a bathroom. Built in 1833 and extensively renovated, it combines period character—original beams and a feature fireplace—with contemporary fittings throughout. The ground floor layout works well for groups: a spacious living room with three windows overlooks the countryside, there's a separate second lounge with a cosy atmosphere, and an open-plan kitchen and dining area flows into a utility room with washing machine. Essentials including wi-fi, heating, bed linen and towels are provided, along with a welcome pack on arrival.
Bedrooms comprise a king bed in the main room, a double in the second, and a zip-and-link super king in the third (available as twin beds on request). The bathroom has a bath with shower over it and a heated towel rail; there's also a separate toilet. Outside, an enclosed tiered garden with seating areas and a BBQ overlooks the Cheviot Hills, with space to explore the grounds. Private parking for three cars is on site. The cottage accepts one well-behaved pet at no extra cost. Smoking is not permitted indoors. The location suits families or groups wanting access to the Northumberland coast and countryside, with the A697 nearby for onward travel.
