Dogs and barbecues are both welcome, though facilities stretch only to a portable toilet – perfectly adequate for such a relaxed, rural setup.
The location strikes a nice balance: genuinely tranquil yet only a mile from Slaley's village shop and pub. Positioned between the Northumberland National Park and North Pennines, you're ideally placed for walks, mountain biking and visits to Hadrian's Wall or Derwent Reservoir. The friendly owners are always happy to suggest the best local routes and watering holes to explore.

We had a lovely stay at Broome Hill Farm. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic - just four miles from Alnwick and close to lots of places to visit and the beautiful coast, yet it feels like you're so remote. It was very relaxing and we hope to visit again one day. We already miss the view from the lounge and bedroom windows!

We loved this cottage. It has everything you need for a stay away from home. The owners live next door and are lovely, full of local knowledge and happy to chat without being intrusive.
