The Studio at the Neuk

Two people—or a couple with a dog—will find The Studio at the Neuk a straightforward base in Warkworth. It's a single storey property split across two levels: downstairs holds the kitchen with electric oven, gas hob and washing machine; upstairs opens into a living space with a Juliet balcony, then the bedroom with a double bed and shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. There's a lawned garden with seating and parking for one car outside.

Warkworth itself is a small village with pubs, tea rooms and riverside walks where you might spot rare birds. The castle is a short walk away. Within a few miles lie Amble—a working harbour town with a market and fish shops—and Alnwick, where you'll find the castle used for filming and the famous water gardens. The wider area sits on the Heritage coastal route through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with beaches and the option to head inland towards the National Park, west to Hadrian's Wall, or north towards the Scottish borders. The property is non-smoking and does not accept children under three.
