What visitors say
Was rather disappointed at this campsite. It’s basically just camping in someone’s garden. They have a static caravan that is very old. There is not enough facilities. There is only 1 shower. Apparently there are “eco showers” but there were no signs as to where these were. They charge you £1 for a shower which is ridiculous. There are 2 sheds with loos which are open all the time but in there are no hand washing facilities. There is an outside tap but they say do not wash hands here, just use sanitizer. They only allow you to use hand sanitizer which is not very hygienic. Felt very strange being in someone’s back garden especially as in the evening you can see into their house. Was very open. Felt overlooked. Felt like I had no privacy as where they put us was right in the open. The main facilities are locked at night which is very strange. There are a lot of harsh rules. They limit the times you can shower as they say “last showers by 8:45” and they say only a 10 minute period in the bathroom max (which includes a bath) The shower is adequate however as soon as someone starts running water somewhere in the static caravan. The water pressure dies off and you’re just left with a tiny dribble of water. They say 10 minutes max in the bathroom to “be considerate of others” but in my opinion it would be more considerate to refurb the static caravan into multiple showers and loos. Then that’s considerate. There are at least 25 pitches. They set a max of 4 people per pitch in their leaflet of “rules”. This is hard for a large family to be so strict. How on earth are 100 people all going to have a shower??

Excellent Campsite. Very tranquil. Lots of space on your pitch. The bathroom facilities were good and exactly as described on their website. Will definitely be going back there again!

First time here, great little campsite. Nice space around pitches, saw loads of wildlife buzzards, heron, squirrels, deer, hawks, hare to name just a few all whilst having breakfast. Credit to Claire and family making this a really nice eco place. Great base doe the surrounding areas, castles galore, beaches the best.

Amazing campsite, very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful location, pitches are very spacious. Owners are lovely, helpful and polite. We enjoyed our 2 night stay that much we have booked again for later in the summer.
