Belford village sits quietly inland from some of Northumberland's finest coastline. Fordson is a single-storey cottage here, part of a small group of properties sharing a swimming pool, sauna and tennis court. The beach at Seahouses lies within minutes' drive, and Bamburgh Castle is roughly 5 miles away. The White Swan Inn is nearby for an evening out without going far.

Three bedrooms sleep six: a double with an ensuite shower room, another double, and two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower. Everything is on the ground floor. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering—electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer—and opens into a dining area. The living room has a TV and electric fire for cooler days. Outside is a lawned garden with furniture. One dog stays free. Electricity, wi-fi and bed linen are included. No smoking inside.

The swimming pool requires time slots booked through the owner; children under 16 need an adult who can swim to accompany them. The sauna and tennis court are available Mon–Thurs 9am–6:30pm, Fri–Sun 10am–5pm. The property suits families wanting both countryside quiet and easy access to the coast, with facilities on-site to keep everyone occupied.

All-round very decent accommodation, very clean rooms, beds and kitchen. Reason for missing the 5th star was little things like slow WiFi and TV which was often unresponsive. The 'gym' was practically unusable, it either needs a big update, or for the room to be used for something else. Nothing else to complain about! The cottage was very spacious and contained plenty of toilets and showers, which were fantastic with great temperature control (unlike mine at home 🙇🏻) Very nice pool, and fantastic sauna (must use it!!). 🌊 Would recommend if you are looking to do holiday events like learning to surf with the local 'NE Surf' teachers, or to see parts of Northumbria etc...

What a gem! We booked for a week and were not disappointed. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Bedrooms are cosy (as expected in a cottage) but there was plenty of space downstairs for the 4 of us to relax after a day exploring the local area. The pool and sauna are also excellent facilities which we very much enjoyed. It is brilliant having The Purdy Lodge available throughout the stay. A quick call at any time and they are ready to assist. The location is also perfect we visited Edinburgh, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell. Most within a short drive. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great location to visit local attractions. Lovely cottage, only problem was the shower in the master bathroom was difficult to regulate temperature and we all struggled to turn it off. Didn't use this as there was another shower in the ensuite. We were disappointed there was no recycle waste bins so took this home with us. Swimming pool was excellent and warm which is a bonus after long walks.

As a family of six adults and five children we recently shared the Fordson and Ferguson cottages. We had a very enjoyable peaceful stay with the children especially enjoying the indoor heated swimming pool. On arrival we were greeted by milk in the fridge, coffee, tea , biscuits and a jar of delicious raspberry jam, giving us the perfect start to our weeks holiday. The location is very central and ideal for exploring this beautiful coastline, with Alnwick, Berwick Upon Tweed, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh all within reach. During our stay, one evening we decided to visit the sister company Purdy Lodge restaurant, situated a few miles up the A1. Considering the size of our party we were asked to submit our menu choice by lunch on the day of our visit, what that did mean though was that after drinks we were called to our table and all our meals arrived piping hot and on time. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. Also the deserts were excellent and I have to say the sticky toffee pudding with lashings of custard was one of the best i have sampled. I would definitely recommend a visit to sample this fine food and service and as a customer of Warenford Cottages you have the bonus of receiving a discount on your bill on show of your cottage key.
