What visitors say
We arrived at Kaims Country Park in July 2020 just as Covid restrictions had been slightly lifted. We met Gilly Smith, the Park Manager, at Reception and he gave us a grand tour of the whole park followed by viewing some of the caravans for sale. Gilly impressed upon us how friendly the Park was and as we went around, everyone we passed greeted us warmly. We decided to buy a new Abi Cowarth which we loved as soon as we stepped inside. We have now been here for five fabulous years and we, and our family, have loved every minute. If you have dogs, there is a good walk over the dog hill to one side of the park - great views over to the Cheviots or up towards Scotland on clear days. There is also a club house on site serving food/beer which is now dog friendly and offers entertainment at weekends or football/sports for those important fixtures. We were very lucky in 2024 to find the Northern Lights clearly visible above us - what a bonus. This part of Northumberland has fabulous sandy beaches that go on for miles and all dog friendly. Bamburgh has the most imposing Castle plus a variety of pubs and restaurants. Seahouses has a busy harbour with boat trips across to the Farne Islands, a variety of shops, a local garage and more pubs/restaurants. Further along to the south is Beadnell, another sandy beach used by many for a variety of water sports, plus more pubs and restaurants. With the help of Gilly, Leanne Hayter (General Manager) and the Directors of Maguires Country Parks, we have just agreed a part exchange deal to upgrade our current caravan for an ABi Ambleside but still at The Kaims which we love so much. Gilly and Leanne have been so helpful and supportive and we cannot wait to start our new adventures.

We're into our third season on The Kaims now as a young family, we love our spot / pitch with a lovely large grassed area which often has wildlife running across. The location of the site is fantastic and the stress of mid week life melts away when we arrive, the club house is fantastic value for money and quality and a great addition to be able to walk up. Fantastic memories made every time we are here.

Absolute 5 star country park, grounds are kept immaculate by the wonderful staff of which nothing is a bother. We absolutely love it here, so much so, we just upgraded our caravan after being here for only 4 months. Gilly is the most knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and cheeky manager, with excellent inter personal and customer care skills - again, nothing is a bother. Everyone goes to Gilly, because he does what he does. Then there’s Leanne, the new general manager, very new to The Kaims, but shining already, extremely knowledgable, helpful, kind and fits in great. Keith, is a star in his own right, so very helpful and with the biggest smile you’ll ever see. We highly recommend the Kaims Country Park and not forgetting Trevor the chef and Rob the clubhouse manager.

After looking at many sites up and down the North East coast we visited Maguires parks in Northumberland and were very impressed with the layout and grounds on their parks compared to others we had visited. Communication was easy without being pushy. All questions relating to purchase and ongoing costs were explained clearly. This helped us make sure that buying caravan at the Kaims was the right decision for our us. We have since upgraded to a newer caravan and again found the process both easy and transparent. Communication through Gilly and his team was excellent and and any issue we raised was dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble. We have now been on the park two years and we find it the perfect place to relax in a great location close to Bamburgh and Seahouses and some of the best beaches anywhere. We would definitely recommend Maguires' Country Parks .
