About DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham Gateway
DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham Gateway sits on Nuthall Road on the north-western edge of the city, close to junction 26 of the M1, making it a straightforward choice for anyone arriving by car rather than train. The hotel has a leisure club with a swimming pool, sauna and gym, unusual at this price point, alongside a restaurant and bar.
Rooms are consistent with Hilton's standard modern styling across the chain, comfortable rather than characterful, with the free on-site parking and pool the main draws over a more central alternative. Wollaton Hall and its deer park are a short drive away, making this a sensible base for families combining a city visit with the park.
The city centre itself is around 15 to 20 minutes away by bus or taxi, so this suits drivers and those prioritising leisure facilities and parking over walking distance to the Lace Market and castle.
What guests say
We spent one night at this hotel convenient to junction 26 of the M1, less convenient for the city centre. However, the hotel more than made up for this. We were upgraded to a superior king room with lots of space, comfortable bed and slippers and robes. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, and it was the best buffet breakfast we have had for a long time. All the usual you would expect, freshly cooked eggs etc. But what set it apart was the temperature of the cooked food, it was hot! All the waitresses were helpful, but Rani and Carla were exceptional. We had a friendly late evening drink in the bar before the staff left, although apparently the bar did remain open all night via the reception team! With free parking thrown in, there was nothing not to like about this hotel. We will definitely be back.

Michael at reception was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed with regards to my room and food/drink. My room was clean, very peaceful and had a good sized desk and office chair so I was able to work during my stay. Food was nice and generous portions. The air con was fantastic in this hot weather. Overall an excellent hotel for business. I will be back!

This is one of the best Double Tree hotels we have stayed at. We had four rooms facing the pleasent pond with ducks andd geese. The entrance and main reception area has a good atmosphere with a mix and old. Lots of glass and chandelier plus modern comfortable furniture. The rooms are a good size and shower rooms some of the best. Rain shower that's easy to use and tiled not slip floor. The beds are very good. Breakfast was of a good standard.
