About The Watling Inn

Watling Street runs through Nuneaton, Warwickshire, and it's here that The Watling Inn makes its home, offering easy access for anyone travelling by road and free on-site parking for those who arrive with a car. The surrounding area has a golf course, pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, making it a convenient base for exploring the town and beyond.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Guests can expect free WiFi, drinks in the room and room service, with a lift making every floor easy to reach. Staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception, and luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures.

Breakfast is served each morning, and the on-site restaurant and snack bar cover other meals, with kids' meals available for families. There's a garden for some fresh air away from the street outside. It's a functional, no-frills stopover rather than a destination in itself, well suited to those who want a comfortable night's stay near Nuneaton's attractions.

The outside of the hotel does a disservice to how great it is. While the building and car park are in disrepair, the hotel itself is quite delightful. The staff are wonderful, friendly people. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. The beds are comfortable with clean linens. The bathroom is clean and workable. The shower stalls are rather small, but the water is hot with good pressure. The little restaurant has surprisingly good food. We had both dinner and breakfast. The coffee is fantastic! It is not walking distance to the town center or rather it is, but the traffic is fierce and there are no footpaths. We stayed for 2 nights. It was a great low cost hotel. Would recommend.

The rooms are nice and big, remodeled, just a bit of a walk to get to from the front door, but it gives character at every turn. Pav is an attentive host and gives his all. He is a great cook that knows how to fill you up! Our breakfast was perfect and the supper was super filling.

Stayed for 1 night for airport convenience. Car park with plenty of space. I was made very welcome on arrival and no complicated check-in, room and en suite was very clean and tidy. Good Wi-fi, TV and tea/coffee in room. Great sleep thanks to a comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in my booking but the prices are very reasonable and it was well cooked and served. Highly recommend staying here.

Brilliant service, beautiful, freshly made toasted cheese & tomato sandwich - hot! Simple fare, but good quality. Coffee tasted good & was also hot! Thank you for your service 🙂
