About Garden House Camping

Tucked away on the Isle of Coll, Garden House Camping offers a surprisingly well-equipped base for exploring this remote Hebridean island. The on-site café is a real asset when you can't be bothered to cook, and facilities cover the essentials – decent toilet block, washing-up area, chemical disposal – without any unnecessary frills. Nearby options include a pub, shop, and restaurant, handy given the island's size.

The 4.7 rating suggests most visitors appreciate the straightforward, no-nonsense approach, though it's worth noting dogs aren't permitted. For those keen on fishing or golf, both are within easy reach. It's a solid, unfussy choice for anyone wanting to experience Coll's dramatic beaches and birdlife without forgoing basic campsite comforts.

Spent a glorious 24hrs on Coll with my son, Gavin. If there were more people like Ken in this world, it would be a better place. Extremely generous in sharing his knowledge of the island and telling stories of such interest to me as a daughter of people who farmed here many moons ago. Thank you Ken.

Fabulous, well run campsite, in a tranquil and beautiful sheltered location. Immaculate facilities and information. Good hot shower £1. Plenty of wildlife and birdsong and silence. Ken is an excellent host. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I have stayed 3 times and can't wait to return. Highly recommended.

Excellent campsite. Friendly and knowledgeable owner, well maintained and cleaned daily. Beautiful location within the walled garden.

Great little campsite with friendly host in Kenneth. Toilet facilities might get a bit stretched in high season and a hot water tap would be nice as the washing up area is very basic and exposed in the weather, but we have a good stay for 4 nights and the beach is a short walk which was fab.
