Lakeland Climbing Centre

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in the Laal Ewe pod on this site and wow what an amazing time. This place is like a hidden gem. The pods are located on a working farm in the most gorgeous location. Very peaceful surrounded by animals and loads of countryside. The pod itself was immaculate and had everything you needed. The owners even left milk, bread, teas and coffees, chocolate and even some marshmallows which we ended up toasting on the fire pit. The location is fabulous for connections for Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere which we managed to visit and do plenty of walks. There is a lovely local pub called The Black Labrador which is a very short 5 minute walk down the road which is ideal if you want to go for a meal or just pop in for a drink. We will definitely be recommending this place and we will be back in the very near future! x

We had the best time here... The glamping pod was so spacious and had everything we could possibly need — all the cooking bits, towels, bedding, even shampoo and shower gel. It made things so easy and stress-free. The welcome pack was such a lovely surprise — bread, butter, milk, orange juice and biscuits waiting for us when we arrived. The location was perfect too: really peaceful and quiet, with sheep in the field next door which my daughter absolutely loved watching. They’d even provided wood for the fire pit, and marshmallows for her to toast — such a thoughtful touch that made the stay really special. The pod was spotless, the main bed and bunk beds were super comfy and cosy, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We came away feeling so relaxed and happy — we would definitely book again.

Amazing stay. The pods are in great condition with beautiful views over the lakes. The underfloor heating means it is very warm even in the midst of cold Autumn. Close to get the different parts of the lakes. Look forward to being back soon

Had a lovely experience here! Beautiful pods to stay! The hot tubs are nice after a long hike! The host is such a lovely person, really helped out when we ran into some car trouble! Thankyou for the lovely stay x
