What visitors say
We had a great time at Bowhayes. It was a lovely quiet site and Howard was very kind, funny and welcoming. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet retreat somewhere. If you're used to campsites with lots of facilities then this one might take a bit of getting used to. But still well equipped for a farm campsite. Thank you for the nice stay :)

Perfect! Will most definitely be staying there again! From my pitch I genuinely couldn’t see another tent or hear anything but birds and the breeze in the trees and personally I liked that cars weren’t allowed in the orchard.get away from it,get away from it all. I’m Team Bowhayes farm camping all day long, the facilities including the orchard shower were clean and working, the farm makes a great cider.i think what took me most by surprise was the farmer was both cheerful and had great personality! Book it you’ll be glad you did.💯

Gorgeous bell tent, super-comfy bed, great facilities (flushing loo, hot shower, field kitchen), fire pit on pitch, and use of fridge/freezer. Stunning location - beautiful local walks along the river. Howard is a wonderful host, a mine of information, and sells delicious cider made from the apples grown in the orchard you're sleeping in! We loved every minute of our stay 🥰

Howard is a very friendly person, he meets you as soon as you arrive and puts you at your ease and tells you everything you need to know about the farm and where you'll be staying ( I slept in my car in the orchard!). Howard grows apples for cider making and has a nursery where he grows trees. You must buy some cider, I'm so glad I did, it was delicious, so refreshing and without that sickly sweetness. Nice decking area to sit and have coffee, sinks for washing up and a single free-standing shower hut in the field.
