Broad Bay House
Back, near Stornoway, Isle of Lewis · Guest House
A design-led guesthouse overlooking Broad Bay, a short drive from Stornoway, with large rooms and sea views.
About Broad Bay House
Broad Bay House sits on a low headland overlooking Broad Bay, a few miles from Stornoway on Lewis's east coast, and is built specifically around the view, with a wall of glass in its communal living space framing the water and hills beyond. It is a modern, architect-designed alternative to the traditional Hebridean guest house.
The five bedrooms are large by island standards, each with its own sitting area and most with private access to a terrace or balcony facing the bay. Breakfast is cooked to order using local produce, including Stornoway black pudding and fresh eggs, and served in a dining room that shares the same uninterrupted outlook.
Its position close to Stornoway makes it a convenient first or last stop for anyone arriving by ferry or plane, while still feeling separate from the town, and it is within easy reach of the Callanish stones and the beaches of Lewis's west coast for day trips.
