Doing thorough homework revealed the only high quality hotel in Paignton, is this place. Upon arrival, I was assigned to a higher quality room than booked. This one (No. 15) had a mini fridge and even a bottle of water. This was used to store subsequently purchased salads and West Country Jersey milk. Delicious. The room was excellent with spectacular styled mirrors and a comfortable bed. There are USB charging points on the bed light fittings. Over the 4 nights all was quiet outside with no traffic noise, as the window overlooked their garden/outside seating area. Breakfast was high quality and the coffee (with a cafeteria) was above average in flavour. The location was nearer to the railway station, than maps seemed to display. Claire and Steve have been especially helpful on a postal item and have displayed extreme professional and friendly attitude to their clients. Seriously recommended. You will not be disappointed.

The Clifton is an amazing hotel in an excellent location right behind Paignton High St and less than 5 minutes walk away from the train & bus station. The hotel room was absolutely perfect in all honesty, super comfy bed, plenty of teas & coffee, excellent Wi-Fi, powerful shower and the cleanliness was perfect. Claire & Steve were amazing hosts, very polite and friendly and both myself and my partner loved chatting to them. In all honesty, 10 out of 10 is too low of score for this hotel, totally deserves a score of 100 out of 10, would totally come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Claire and Steve were outstanding and so friendly couldn't have asked for more. food exceptional and room. highly recommend will definitely be back couldn't have asked for a better place to stay you definitely need to stay there
