What visitors say
What a campsite! Unlike any I have been to before. It ditches the usual regimented, man-made feel for untouched spaces. The fields are naturally separated by wild hedgerows and joined by country paths, offering authentic off-grid charm alongside all the normal facilities in a communal area with a kitchen, hot showers and power sockets etc. The views are incredible, with plenty of quiet spots to watch sunsets including up the rocks of an ancient hillfort. John the owner is down-to-earth and helpful, backed by a great team. I will definitely make the long drive back when I need to escape reality again! Cheers, John!

What an absolute gem of a campsite, 360 views of the hills, tors, and sea, even Ireland on a clear day. The sunsets are stunning over the light house, which added to the experience. Beautiful dog walks long or short all on the doorstep. We stayed 3 nights in our campervan, an eco friendly site, with compost toilets, lovely showers, all kept immaculate by John the owner, now let's talk about John... He is an absolute legend! Nothing is too much trouble for John, and he can talk for hours if you want him to, although that does get him behind on site duties! In summary, stay here, it's superb 👍

We stayed here last August - and had a truly amazing time. The site is fantastic - even in August we had masses of our own space, with good facilities, fires, amazing location in the wilds with lovely coastal walks and beautiful beaches to visit. The best of it all was the host, Handsome John - what a dude! Super friendly and helpful, as well as a lot of fun, full of stories, he made us all laugh every day! Bringing us wood for the fire, full of amazing advice - he's an absolute legend. And handsome, according to my wife! :-) Hence the moniker. We will be back - we were camping last time, but next time, in that amazing Yurt with the world's best view, see you soon I hope John!
