About St Davids Rugby Club

Wales's most westerly rugby club opens its gates to self-contained motorhomes and campervans, offering flat, safe pitches within an easy ten-minute stroll of St Davids city centre. The cathedral, Bishop's Palace, shops and restaurants are all close by, while coastal gems like Whitesands beach, Solva and Porthclais beckon just beyond. Pitches sit well away from the playing field, so you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings without dodging any scrums.

The real charm here is the clubhouse – open Wednesday, Thursday and weekends – where you can join locals for a pint, a game of pool or darts, and hearty food. It's a genuine community hub, and your pitch fee directly supports grassroots rugby in Britain's smallest city. Note that there are no on-site bathroom facilities, so you'll need to be fully self-contained. Still, for a taste of local life and a brilliant base for exploring north Pembrokeshire's coast and countryside, this little site delivers something genuinely different.

Awesome place made very welcome from the start, we stayed on the little campsite in the rugby grounds, the big guy I met when I pulled up cleaning the showers out was awesome (can remember his name sorry) but he was awesome same as the guy serving behind the bar really friendly ( can't remember his name as well sorry) but both legends will definitely go back.

A real village rugby club. Everyone is so welcoming. My partner and I went to watch the lions game as we're big rugby fans. They offered full English breakfast whilst the game was on. Food was great. Atmosphere was amazing too.

The site is in a good location, 5 minutes from the center of St Davids. The negatives are around the toilet and shower facilities. There is a toilet and shower combined, with only one of each which means you could be queuing a long time to use either. Customers visiting for breakfast also use the toilet which adds to the queue. During our stay, the toilet and shower were really dirty and unhygienic. The lock on the door didn't work which made you feel vulnerable. We couldn't use the shower for these reasons. If you went to the toilet, there was often a queue waiting right outside the door.

During our tour of Wales we visited St David's and heard it was possible to use the Rugby Club's facilities for the camper. We rocked up and was made to feel so welcome On the Sunday morning we tried the breakfasts and we were not disappointed! Carol, Jeff, Craig and the team made us visit amazing - thank you Yes I will come back and stay again
