About Wolfscastle Country Hotel
Wolfscastle Country Hotel sits in the village of Wolf's Castle on the main road between Haverfordwest and Fishguard, roughly in the middle of Pembrokeshire. The building started life as a stone vicarage and has been extended a number of times, giving a slightly rambling layout of older rooms, newer wings and a garden building. It has been in the same family's hands for decades and has a settled, unpretentious feel.
Bedrooms number around twenty and vary from standard doubles to family rooms and suites, some with balconies overlooking the grounds. The newer rooms are larger and more contemporary; the older ones have more character but less space. All are en suite with the usual tea trays, televisions and free wi-fi, and family rooms can take up to four. Dogs are accepted in designated rooms.
The hotel added a small spa with treatment rooms, a sauna and a relaxation area, which is useful in poor weather. The restaurant has held AA Rosettes over a long period and puts Pembrokeshire seafood, Welsh beef and lamb at the centre of the menu, with a bistro option for lighter or earlier meals. There is a bar with a terrace, plenty of parking, and gardens sloping down towards the Western Cleddau tributary that runs behind the property.
The middle-of-the-county position is the practical advantage: St Davids, Fishguard, the Preseli Hills and the south coast beaches are all within about half an hour, so you can cover a lot of ground without changing base. It suits touring couples, families and walkers, and the Fishguard ferry to Rosslare is fifteen minutes away if you are combining a stay with a trip to Ireland.

My room was very good indeed with excellent views and quite spacious and well appointed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I just felt that for the money paid there should have been more on offer for the guest without having to pay extra for it.

Booked into this lovely hotel yesterday for 1 night as I was attending a job interview today. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Room was so clean and cosy (6). Everything you need in your room. Wasn’t feeling too well on arrival and asked for a specific meal and it was no problem. I had the continental breakfast. I have no complaints.

My daughter and I recently booked at the spa for the Primrose Package which included use of the jacuzzi and sauna, an hour treatment and £20 towards a meal. What a wonderful afternoon! We loved it! The spa facilities were very good and our use of the jacuzzi and sauna was exclusive so we could really relax and have a good catch up. I had the best whole body massage I've ever had (thank you to Bethan) and my daughter said the same about her 1 hour facial. Then we had a meal in the brasserie which was absolutely delicous with good service. All the staff we encountered during our visit were friendly and professional. Thank you to all.

This wasn’t doesn’t disappoint! I thought the fine dining menu was great, and now I can say that the brasserie is just as good. Delicious food, great atmosphere and very good service. Would recommend to anyone visiting south wales Pembrokeshire area.
