Hollin Bank Cottage is a 19th-century stone barn that has been converted into a self-contained holiday home. Built from local stone and set down a private drive, it commands long views east across the Pennines and north towards the Yorkshire Dales. The owners occupy the adjoining part of the building, but guests have the whole cottage to themselves with private parking on site. A three-step approach leads to the entrance.
Inside, three bedrooms sleep five: a kingsize, two singles and another single. The ground floor holds a sitting room with a 42-inch television and freesat, plus a kitchen-diner equipped for cooking—gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine—with a breakfast area. Upstairs is a bathroom with both bath and shower cubicle. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included; heating comes from a gas fire in the living room.
The cottage sits in genuinely rural countryside, with the Pennine Way ten minutes' walk away and several named routes—the Lancashire Way, Pendle Way and Historic Waterways Walk—starting close by. The Leeds-Liverpool Canal runs through the valley minutes away. Barnoldswick town is near enough for supplies but far enough that the cottage feels remote; dark nights are common and often the only sounds are from livestock and birds. The location works equally well as a base for exploring Lancashire and North Yorkshire, with the Lake District, Haworth and Skipton within reach. No smoking inside the property.
