This small, peaceful paddock site near Bampton delivers an appealingly simple Lake District camping experience. Tucked into the Askham and Lowther Valley, Low Scarside provides just a handful of non-electric grass pitches, each with its own fire pit and views across the fells. Facilities are intentionally pared back – a portable toilet, washing-up area and water tap – but guests consistently praise how spotlessly maintained everything is, plus thoughtful touches like a fridge, freezer and secure charging lockers.
