Maple Chalet 15

Maple Chalet 15 occupies one of 40 acres of designed Highland landscape at Loch Monzievaird, just two miles from Crieff. The estate sits within a historic protected setting, offering the kind of quiet that makes for a genuine retreat. The chalet itself is entirely on one level, with an open-plan living space that combines a sitting area with dining and kitchen zones. Everything you need for self-catering is here: electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and breakfast bar. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided, and one car can park on site.

Sleeping up to 8 guests, the three bedrooms hold a double bed (4ft 6in), two single beds (3ft each), and two bunk beds (3ft each). The single bathroom has a bath with shower over. A single pet is welcome. The chalet suits families or groups looking for space to spread out; there is one bathroom, so you should consider what works for your group. Cradle cots and highchairs can be arranged separately.

Beyond the chalet, the 40-acre estate offers pathways for walking, boat trips on the loch, seasonal fishing, a playing field with games, fire pits by the water, and zip-lining. Crieff's shops, cafés and restaurants are near enough for an evening out. Aberfeldy, Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Perth and Stirling are all within reach for day trips, with Edinburgh and Glasgow further afield. Smoking is not permitted inside.
