Maple Chalet 16
Perth and Kinross
Maple Chalet 16 is a timber-built Scandinavian chalet positioned on the Loch Monzievaird estate, two miles from Crieff. The building sits within 40 acres of Highland landscape, a historic designed setting protected by Historic Scotland. Each chalet on the estate occupies its own elevated spot, giving unobstructed views across the water.
Everything happens on the ground floor: an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a television, electric cooking, and a full set of appliances for self-catering. Four bedrooms sleep up to seven people (a double, two singles, a bunk bed, and a single), served by a bathroom with bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included, and there is parking for one car on site.
The location suits those looking for quiet: the chalets are spread well apart, and the estate offers waterside walks, a playing field, fire pits by the loch, and access to activities including seasonal fishing and boat trips. Crieff is close by; Aberfeldy, Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Perth are all within reach, with Edinburgh and Glasgow farther north. One well-behaved pet is welcome to stay. No smoking indoors.
