I visit the Showcase Cinema de Lux in Peterborough often, and it is my favourite cinema in the area for various reasons. The entire venue feels spacious and modern, with a wide range of screens meaning that there are a lot of options for different times to watch the same film. This time we watched wicked part 2 and there was a showing multiple times per hour which is extremely helpful when planning your weekend. The lobby area is large and well laid out, there are plenty of snack kiosks available. This really helps to keep the queues down during busy times, which is something I appreciate when arriving close to a screening. There is also a Costa inside the cinema, which is a great bonus if you want a coffee or hot chocolate to bring into the film. The snack options are good, fresh, and reasonably priced for a modern cinema. I especially like the Coca Cola Freestyle fountain machines, as they offer loads of drink combinations, the cups are also larger than usual which I like. I also the m&ms on top of the popcorn. For me, the standout feature of this cinema is without doubt the reclining chairs. Every seat, in every screen, fully reclines at no additional cost. It makes the whole experience more comfortable and enjoyable, and it’s the main reason I choose Showcase Peterborough over other cinemas. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to watch a film and I will continue to visit it over any other chain.

Movie was great, seats are very comfortable and have loads of space, not enough staff for the amount of customers getting snacks and drinks.

The cinema was great, seats were so comfy and temperature was perfect. The slushy machine was all watery, staff just looked at us blankly. Lady making a milkshake took an age. Great chose on menu, staff slow and not so helpful. Very expensive. But really enjoyed the film.

Come nearly every week and the place never changes.. mens TOILETS!!! Every cubicle has the locks broaken/poorly fixed, one even has 7 screws to hold a 4" bit a chipboard on... there has never been a time when there isn't pee all over the floor so you have to walk in it. Every week atlest 1 toiled is blocked and nearly over flowing and the best bit the monster floters.
