About Overbrook Caravan Park

Tucked away near the picturesque village of Thornton-Le-Dale, Overbrook Caravan Park keeps things simple and does it well. The facilities here are spotless – showers gleam and there's always plenty of hot water – while a small on-site shop stocks local produce for those who've forgotten the bacon. It's an adults-only site, so the atmosphere stays peaceful, and the village itself is just a short stroll away for proper Yorkshire tearooms and pubs.

Staff are genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and dogs are welcome to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Electric hook-ups and WiFi are available, though this is really a place to unplug. A solid, well-maintained base for exploring Pickering and the North York Moors without any unnecessary fuss.

What visitors say

Julie Littlewood

Lovely quiet site, dog walk area with a little stream running alongside, little shop selling local wines, beers, gins and other produce. Clean facilities. Good location just a 5 minute walk to the village and nice dog walks. A site we would return to again.

Just half a mile walk into thornton le dale. A quiet adult only site. Quite a few seasonal pitches so, even quieter midweek. Only 2 toilets and 3 showers in mens block.

Some sites you know you’re going to love as soon as you drive in and park up and this was certainly one of those…Check in was easy and we were escorted to our pitch and shown how to access the electricity meter. The welcome was warm and friendly. Everything was clean and tidy and showers had plenty of hot water. Close proximity to the village which was lovely with plenty of places to eat and drink. Lovely little chocolate shop and delicatessen and a small local shop that had all your essentials if needed. Walks everywhere and we very much enjoyed the circular to the hamlet of Ellerburn and St Hilda’s Church. Dalby forest extends up from this hamlet and next time we plan to bring our bikes and cycle to the visitor centre there. We absolutely had the best time at this lovely caravan park and were very sad we only had two nights there.
