What visitors say
We stayed on a small pitch in our campervan. The pitch was level and had water conveniently placed. You’ll need an EHU cable longer than 10 metres. There were 3 toilets cleaned daily, 2 hot showers and a sink for washing up. It is a short 15 minute walk into the centre of Pickering.

Really nice family campsite. Quite small, but actually it was perfect for kids to run around and get to know each other. Ours had the best time. We stayed in a yurt and it was really comfortable with an ensuite compost toilet and shower. Nice that you can walk into the town really easily too.

Booked this site last minute, and when we arrived I had booked the wrong week! Luckily they could still offer us a pitch, for which we were very grateful. The site offers a playground for the children, a games room with toys / books and a sofa, a kitchen area, with a fridge freezer, microwave and kettle. The toilets are basic but clean, the showers are an enclosed cubicle with space to hang towels. Plenty of hot water and clean. The site has a very friendly vibe to it, children all playing together and making new friends. Mark the owner was super friendly, and i do feel he wants to do some upgrades on the hook ups, and maybe other stuff as well. Its a pleasant walk into Pickering, with a large Lidl , so easy to pick up supplies. And the Rose Inn pub has a lovely beer garden beside a shallow river. You can also get a fire grate, and buy wood , marsh mallows on site if you want to. Apparently during the summer months on Fridays they light the large fire on the site, and have a pizza making nite, which by all accounts is very popular and I am sure it's something our grandchildren would love. We will definitely be bringing the grandchildren next time. Thank you for a relaxing getaway, and hopefully we will see you again in the summer.

Really lovely yurt and campsite. Within 15-20 min walk of Pickering. We stayed in a yurt. It was so well furnished, we had brought extras that we thought we would need but everything was there. Washing up liquid, oil, pans, cutlery, I think they have thought of everything! Freya even laid the first fire for us while showing us how everything worked. We had everything we needed: gas hob, BBQ, cool box, separate shower and toilet shed. The shower was roomy and plenty of hot water. We will definitely return. Thank you.
