What visitors say
Outstanding customer service and communication. Lovely site: kids played in the river and enjoyed the short walks around the site. Bar area is great with lots of room for kids to play. Very reasonably priced electric too. Facilities were kept clean throughout our week there. Thoroughly enjoyed the area which is not too far to travel from waterfall walks, country parks, and Pen y Fan.

We had a fantastic stay at River View Touring Park and would happily return. The pitches are a great size with plenty of space between them, making the site feel relaxed rather than overcrowded. The whole campsite was exceptionally clean, with no litter anywhere and the bins always well maintained and emptied regularly. The shower and toilet facilities were clean, modern and well looked after throughout our stay. There are two showers and three toilets in both the men’s and women’s facilities (plus two urinals in the men’s), which initially seemed quite limited. However, despite the size of the campsite, we never had to wait long for a shower or toilet, so it was never an issue. A mop is provided for guests to clean the shower after use, which works well, although adding a squeegee would be a great improvement to help push excess water into the drain before mopping. The site has a lovely, family-friendly atmosphere. Everyone we met was welcoming, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the campsite was easy to navigate. One of the highlights was the onsite bar, which had a great atmosphere and was the perfect place to relax in the evening while enjoying the fantastic views. The location is another huge advantage. With easy access to the M4, it’s an excellent base for exploring South Wales, particularly the stunning Gower Peninsula and the many attractions nearby. The only area that could be improved is the laundry facilities. With only one washing machine and one tumble dryer for a campsite of this size, they were often in use. We ended up having to use a nearby Revolution Laundry, which meant leaving the campsite for around 30 minutes. It wasn’t a major issue, but adding another washer and dryer would make a noticeable difference. Overall, this is an excellent touring park with spacious pitches, great facilities, stunning views, a welcoming atmosphere and a brilliant onsite bar. We’d highly recommend River View Touring Park and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely peaceful site. Easily accessible from main roads. Wonderful dog walk field. Site runs along side a beautiful river which dogs and children can play in. Wardens very helpful. This is a very peaceful, friendly, delightful little site.

The location is perfect, we stayed in glamping pod 1. If you're looking for a peaceful get-away then this is a good spot. The field with the pods in is adults only, with 10pm being the cut off for noise. The only noise we heard was the river which was beautiful, the pods back on to the river in which you can dip your feet. The pods have decking so you can relax to the sound of the river, deeply needed reset after the bustle of every day life... The glamping pod we stayed in however, is why the star rating is low. We didn't notice at first, we only noticed after we'd settled in for the night, we only stayed 2 nights, if it were longer we would of asked to have the problems looked in to. We first noticed the tv doesn't work, it has a dodgy connection so you cannot get a picture atall. When putting up the bed we noticed mould covering the skirting and underneath the table. The decking outside was broken and wobbly, it was sticky in places. The main toilets were top star, clean and smells fresh, love the houseplants inside, nice touch. Clean sinks for washing your cutlery in outside and sheltered for those wet days. Dropping off the key, the owner didn't really talk to me, it left me feeling a bit deflated as i wanted to complement on the clean toilets! Our son stayed here a couple of weeks before us, i asked him what she was like to him and he said the same. Looking a previous reviews staff sounded friendly, so maybe we both caught her at the wrong time? Either way, the pro of the sound of the river made everything ok and the super clean toilets were great!
