White Springs Fishery

First time at White Springs and I was very impressed with the layout. Lovely, very helpful and friendly staff, and a very well stocked shop onsite, I gave the Specimen Lake a try on this occasion, but sadly not much action on the day, it was very windy and cold and the others who had braved the winter weather were also having a quiet time, the pegs were easy to find and for first timers to the site like myself the staff were on hand to show me exactly where to go, I fished peg 6a on the day and like the majority of the pegs on the lakes you can drive up and unpack, no need to push a trolley full of gear for miles or trudging back and forth for miles getting something you inevitably forgot the first time around. There are a number of different lakes to choose from, some have cabins you can rent for overnight fishing and some you can hire when on a day ticket, there are some 40lb plus carp in the Specimen Lake, and other lakes contain Perch up to 5lb along with large stinky Bream, Barbel, Tench, Orfe and even Koi Carp. There are various types of accommodation you can rent for longer stays, there are 3 Scandinavian type log cabins and static caravans for hire, the site also offers toilet facilities. Will definitely return to White Springs soon and try the Pleasure Lake or the Canal and target those big Perch.

Staff are great, almost guaranteed a fish. Bailif is helpful in giving tips. The shop is well stocked

Days course fishing on the pleasure lake. Beautiful scenery, well maintained lake/pegs/surroundings. Fish looked in good healthy condition. Parking close to the pegs. Toilets on site. Well stocked tackle shop for all your necessaries. Specimen lake also on site which looked beautiful but didn't fish this. Well worth a visit. 👍
