We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect place to stay than at Orchard House under the wonderful care of Lance and Emma. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they looked after us beautifully during our four night stay in Portree. Our room was immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the bathroom spotless and large enough to house a very nice bath. Tea and coffee with milk was provided in the room which was very nice to have in the evening before bed. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with Lance providing an excellent and generous breakfast for each of the guests staying at Orchard House. We even enjoyed using he dining room on one of the evenings to have a light dinner of our own which was a nice break for us from eating out each evening and made us feel very much at home. Orchard House is a very easy thirteen minute walk into downtown Portree along a pleasant coastal lane. Very convenient when we were going into town for dinner as we did not have to compete for a parking space. We loved our stay at Orchard House and would not hesitate to stay there again should we be fortunate enough to find ourselves back on the Isle of Skye but be sure to book well ahead of time as this is a very popular, and deservedly so, accommodation in Portree.

My husband and I loved staying here! The room was so comfortable, and what a treat to wake to breakfast each morning. Lance makes a great croissant that we purchased every day. The location is very close to the center of Portree- a short drive or easy walk if you don’t mind a couple hills. We did some hikes around Skye and coming back to our room to relax and take a bath was the best. A rainy afternoon inside felt luxurious here. If we come back to Skye we would def stay here again!

My wife and I had a wonderful 3-day stay here! Room #1 is fantastic, very spacious, comfortable, and everything was super clean. The location of the property is perfect for those wanting to explore the Isle of Skye. Lance made breakfast each morning, special order for us as well. I can’t imagine finding a better place to stay for our trip!

We had a wonderful stay at Orchard House. Lance was an incredibly friendly and welcoming host who took great care of us. Our room was very nice, spacious, and extremely clean, we felt completely comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and a real highlight of our stay. The location is also great: the old town is just a 15-minute walk away, perfect for going out for dinner. We would happily come back!
