Gilfach Nature Reserve is within walking distance; the Elan Valley, known for its dams, waterfalls and forested moorland, is also nearby and suits walkers and cyclists. The Red Kite Centre and the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells (16 miles) are within reach for a day out. Llandrindod Wells spa town is 14 miles away. The Brecon Beacons National Park lies further south at 44 miles. No smoking inside.
