Llawrllan - Rose

The Powys uplands around Rhayader hold moorland, woodland and river valleys that draw walkers and cyclists throughout the year. Llawrllan - Rose sits in this landscape as a shepherd's hut with its own hot tub and enclosed garden, sleeping two in a single bedroom. The whole building is yours alone, with a king bed, shower room, and an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas on one floor. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with a welcome pack.

The hut comes with private parking for one car and a lawned garden with seating and a hot tub where you can watch the night sky. Inside, the kitchen has an electric hob, combi microwave-oven-grill and fridge for self-catering. The shower room has a cubicle shower and heated towel rail. One pet is welcome; smoking is not.

Gilfach Nature Reserve is within walking distance, offering moorland, woodland and waterfalls. The Elan Valley—forested, with Victorian dams and more water features—suits a day out. Rhayader itself, a market town a short drive away, has restaurants, cafes and shops. The Red Kite Centre and sheepdog demonstrations lie nearby. Those heading further can reach Builth Wells in 16 miles or Llandrindod Wells spa town in 14 miles; the Brecon Beacons National Park is 44 miles away.
