Maen Llwyd

Families and larger groups will find Maen Llwyd works well for a week away—four bedrooms across two floors give everyone their own space, and the whole property is yours alone. Two of the bedrooms have zip-and-link beds that split into singles if needed. Two bathrooms and a separate toilet mean the morning routine runs smoothly. A travel cot and highchair are available if you're bringing young children.

The ground floor centres on a living room with a wood burner and a kitchen-diner that opens onto the garden through French doors. You can cook properly here: electric oven, hob, air fryer, dishwasher and all the basics are provided. Upstairs, one bedroom has an ensuite with bath and shower. Underfloor heating on the ground floor and air source heating throughout keep the place comfortable year-round, and the initial fuel for the wood burner is included. WiFi, bed linen and towels are sorted. Parking for five cars sits on the drive.

Outside, an enclosed lawn has patio furniture, a barbecue and a children's play area. There's also a shared gym with a treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine, cross trainer, weights and punching bag—useful on a rainy afternoon. The Bell Country Inn is nearby. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Fantastic accommodation. Very modern and spacious, clean and well equipped. Great location for days out and some good places to eat nearby. Everything you could wish for in a holiday home!

We had a great family reunion at Maen Llwyd. The house was immaculate and extremely well equipped with everything we needed, including the little extras which we found so welcoming - tea/coffee/hot chocolate, biscuits and milk in the fridge (which was a good size with a separate freezer in the utility). Huw came round to welcome us after we had arrived and was very friendly and a useful source of knowledge for things to do in the area. There was plenty of space for the family, which included a 3 year old and a 10 month old - the cot and high chair were set up and ready. There were comfortable beds, squeaky clean bathrooms and kitchen and plenty of seating in the lounge, plus a lovely big dining table in the kitchen. The swing and slide were well utilised by the 3 year old, as was the large grassed area (the garden was a safe enclosed area) with plenty of seating for the adults! Beautiful views from the house and garden, including red kites and swallows to spot too - probably more but we're no experts on birds! We did notice some noise from the nearby road but it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the weekend. The house has been well looked after and we would highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed in this amazing Cottage for 2 weeks whilst working locally. I cannot recommend this place enough. High Quality furnishings, everything you would need and more is provided. A fantastic location, a pub within a 2 minute walk. Great takeaways within 10 minutes drive. Views from the Cottage are simply breathtaking. It’s definitely 10/10 for me, and I will be back there with work and family.

We stayed for a weekend and didn't want to leave! Beautifully decorated to a high standard with everything you could need. It truly is an amazing cottage and superbly comfortable. Given the times we are in the place is spotless and fautless. We can't wait to go back. The hosts are also lovely.
