About The Ribchester Arms

Step into a room at The Ribchester Arms and you'll find an en-suite bathroom, drinks laid on, and the option of room service if you'd rather not head down for food. Accessible rooms are available, and the hotel is adults only, which keeps things quiet. Free WiFi is standard throughout, and a 24 hour reception means check-in isn't tied to office hours.

Downstairs there's a bar and restaurant serving breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals, with a menu that stretches to plant-based options alongside the usual pub fare. Portions are generous and prices fair. Beyond food, guests can use the on-site spa and sauna, meeting rooms for work trips, and outdoor seating in the garden or beer garden. We popped in after a walk in the area on a quiet Monday afternoon. It was easy to park the car with a very short walk into the pub. There was plenty of room and the place had a really gentle atmosphere. Immediately the staff were friendly and welcoming. Service continued to be delivered with character and kindness. The food we had was superb. You could really taste the ale in the pie.

Situated in Ribchester on the main road. A lovely large welcoming traditional looking pub. Lovely modern decor, very homely. We didn't stay we just called in for lunch. Very friendly landlady (I'm assuming she was). We stopped for lunch and our food was delicious, I had hallumi flatbread £13.95 which had a layer of hummus ontop of the warm flatbread then peppers, salad leaves, beautiful sweet drop peppers and pomegranate seeds topped with hallumi. My partner had hadfock fish butty £12.95 which came on a warm cibatta. He said it was very tasty. There's a large car park to the side. Ive only given it a 4 star for location as there's no green space to sit out in or view. Being hot we sat outside at the front which was overlooking the road. Its a pity they couldn't make a nice garden at the back to sit out in. There was a type of concrete lean too at the back with tables but it didn't look inviting. NB. The toilet was very pretty so I took a picture of it.

Visited with friends for lunch today. Food was excellent. I had the pheasant Ballantine with delicious mash carrots and broccoli. The gravy just was perfect. Apple and cherry crumble and custard was a perfect end to a superlative meal. Well done chef. Great service too . Thank you!!!
