About Rhedyn Certificated Location
Calling all Caravan and Motorhome Club members seeking a peaceful escape on the Llŷn Peninsula – this tiny certified location offers a wonderfully quiet base within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The handful of hardstanding pitches, each with electric hook-up and water tap, are spacious enough for awnings and perfectly positioned for exploring nearby beaches at Abersoch, Pwllheli and Porth Neigwl, plus historic sites like Portmeirion.
What sets Rhedyn apart is its dark skies location, slightly removed from the busier coastal towns. Fire up the barbecue, pour a drink and watch the stars emerge over the sweeping Llŷn landscape. The site keeps things simple with a toilet, shower and chemical disposal point, plus a lovely lawned area for taking in those views. Dogs are welcome year-round, with walks on the doorstep.

We had a fantastic couple of nights away at the campsite this weekend, staying in one of the domes. It was our first time glamping, and it was the perfect balance of immersing ourselves in the beautiful countryside while still enjoying the comforts of a hotel stay. The views were stunning, with rolling farmland and Snowdonia National Park visible in the distance. The campsite was peaceful and quiet, giving us the feeling of being completely off the grid 🧘♀️🧘 The dome itself was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally well equipped, with everything we needed and more for a relaxing stay. Clair and Phil were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. A particular highlight was being shown around their farm animals on our final day, which was a lovely way to end our stay. We would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a unique, peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting!

Absolutely fantastic place. Very peaceful and scenic with great facilities. Yes, it’s camping but the private toilet, shower, communal fridge, and indoor wood burner really do make a huge difference and make you realise how much stuff you would have to take with you to get close to what you have here. There’s also lots of seemingly small things like a toilet roll there when you need one, washing up liquid, tubs of drinking water provided. There’s also a private box with a power point to charge things if you’re in one of the glamping pods, as well a communal point for tent campers. Aldi not far away, and the seaside also. We took the kids to Zipworld on the Saturday which was a great full day out and only 15 mins away. We stayed early May so the nights are still on the colder side and the extra blankets provided, really helped, and although it’s big and beautiful, it’s still a tent, so be prepared to sleep in extra layers etc as you would when camping in cooler weather. The welcome as we arrived was amazing. The hosts really care. We were a little early which was not a problem. They also provided a feeding experience with the animals for the kids who loved meeting the very friendly pigs, chickens, alpacas and sheep. We would definitely recommend this place, and the new motorhome pitches look great so we’re thinking of bringing ours another time to try out our off grid system.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Pant y Rhedyn, staying in one of their brilliant domes. Clair and Phil were the perfect hosts, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, even down to Easter eggs for our son! There was a storm on the Saturday night, but we stayed warm and dry in our dome with the log burner and cosy blankets. Our private kitchen area had everything we needed, and the little on site shop meant we could stock up on wood without leaving the site! Minutes from the Welsh Mountain Zoo, and a short drive to lots of other attractions, it was the perfect base to explore this beautiful corner of Wales. I can't thank Clair and Phil enough for making us feel so welcome. We can't wait to visit again!

We stayed here Friday to Sunday for a weekend break, me, my partner and my 4 year old daughter. We arrived late at around 6:30pm on the Friday as we had to work and Clair and Phil were ready and waiting to welcome us in and show us our accommodation. But first they excitedly offered for us to have a tour of the site and help feed the animals. My daughter Scarlett loved meeting the pigs, hens, sheep and alpacas, we even got to give the pigs some apples! We were then shown to our accommodation which was excellent, clean, tidy, fresh and with a lovely touch of some complimentary hens eggs, fresh bread, local milk and local butter. The honesty shop is also a great touch, to save you having to drive to the shops for a snack or other useful items. The next morning Clair and Phil offered for us to feed some more of the animals, this time we fed the sheep and alpacas and my daughter loved it. The animals were so friendly and Clair and Phil were brilliant at answering all the questions about them. The scenery and views are phenomenal, and the sunset even better. I would highly recommend this for any family or couples looking for a quiet escape back to your roots in nature. Only 15 minutes from Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, it’s close enough to amenities but far enough to feel quiet and peaceful. Clair and Phil were bubbly and friendly hosts who did everything they could to make you feel welcome and looked after, we felt in safe hands and they were fantastic with my daughter. We’re already looking at booking a second trip to this beautiful site, it’s likely this will become at least an annual holiday location for me and my family. To Clair and Phil, thank you for such a wonderful time. We made some great childhood memories for my daughter with your help xxx
