Sandy Farm

We can highly recommend this fabulous small site, with its lovely clean facilities & spacious pitches. Owners Byron and Lola are super friendly & helpful. The walk into Abersoch town is easy, but the weather was extremely hot during our stay so we quickly cycled the less than a mile to the fantastic Abersoch beach for the day. Definitely a site to return to !

Just back from our second visit to this brilliant campsite where the owners Byron and Lola are very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and Byron went out of his way to ensure that we had a wonderful relaxing stay. The site is very close to the centre of Abersoch and it's beautiful sandy beaches, but also provides an excellent base to explore the Lleyn Penninsula. The facilities are very good and the supply of home produced meat for the BBQ, amazing. Look forward to seeing you all next year!

Just back from a 6 night stay at Sandy Farm, booked back in January. Sandy Farm is a small, chilled campsite with good facilities. It's an easy 15 minute walk along the road into Abersoch (although requires walking on the road part way), but there is also a footpath virtually opposite that takes you through fields and down a track to the beach - perfect for our four legged family member! Byron was friendly and helpful with my questions pre-booking, and met us on arrival. If reception and the shop isn't open (it's a small site so opening hours are understandably limited) there is a farm shop a minute or two up the road with a cafe and small shop. Only down-side was that while the showers were always warm, they never really got hot. Would have been nice if they could have been a little warmer. There is an extra charge for showers (20p gives you 6 mins, which was enough), and they are push button as well as on a timer. The facilities were obviously cleaned fairly regularly during our stay, but could have benefitted from slightly more frequent re-stocking of paper towels/toilet rolls etc. Do appreciate difficult to anticipate in early season, as the site varied from very busy at weekends to quiet in the early part of the week. There is also nothing to stop passing walkers using the facilities.

Never needed to leave a bad campsite review before despite having stayed at many previously. Facilities were new but hadn't been cleaned at all during our 2 night mid week stay. The bins were overflowing and toilet facilities were dirty. It appeared they hadnt been touched since the prevous Bank Holiday weekend. The site only had us and a couple of other guests but we never saw anybody in attendence at reception and shop were closed. £45 per night was VERY POOR value for money The advertised WIFI was virtually non existent and the showers had to be paid for too.
